“A continent passes under your pedals twenty centimeters from the soles of your shoes”; from the travel diary of Alessandro de Bertolini. In a territory that seems infinite, a man on a bicycle becomes a small witness to the vastness of the world. In 75 days and 7,500 km, Alessandro cycled solo with a tent and sleeping bag from the Altai Mountains in Mongolia to Kathmandu in Nepal through the Gobi Desert, China, the Yellow River, the Kunlun Shan mountains, the great Tibetan plateaus, the Himalayas, and Everest Base Camp. With evocative images, created in total autonomy, the travel diary conveys human vulnerability.
During the meeting, the film of the journey “Like a skinny ant” will be screened, an Aringa Studio production with Montura, official selection at the Trento Film Festival 2026 and Cervino Cine Mountain Festival 2026. The author Alessandro de Bertolini, the film’s director Alfredo Croce, and the production manager Sara Croce will be there to talk with the audience.
